Arrr me mateys!
This weekend was the unofficial/official start of summer here so I thought I’d decorate for the season by making a Jolly Roger flag for our home. I made a flag for my sewing room that is 3 feet by 2 feet and also a mini one from cardstock.

I made two different flags with this download: one from heat transfer vinyl ironed onto a flag shaped fabric and one cut from cardstock.
For the big HTV skull I sized it up (using the scalable vector graphic or SVG) to be 16.2 inches tall, which makes the tallest individual piece 11.4 inches which will fit on my 12 inch cutting mat. My goal was to make it as large as possible while still fitting the proportions of a classic pirate flag.
I cut two pieces of black cotton 24 inches by 36 inches and sewed them together with a quarter inch seam allowance for an almost 2 foot by 3 foot flag. The fabric is a little heavy so I may have to have it coming down from my balcony instead of hanging on a flag pole. It still gets the point across though.

Oh this will be perfect for pirate night on our cruise! You’re the best.
When I went to the download link it is for Queen Anna’s cape. 🙁
Oh no! I think I fixed it, try the link again.
